Able to meet deadlines in an Agile/Lean environment. Strong DBA skills required and prefer PL/SQL experience in this Oracle environment. Strong Java/HTML/UI Framework skills.** Completely responsible for design and implementation of subsystems (many modules, etc., part of larger system). Responsible for technical specifications for subsystem-level project. Lead designer for subsystem. Provide input in system-level design. Generate innovative approaches and solutions to problems. Undertake lead role in inspections. Undertake lead role in system testing for moderately sized projects. Manage and maintain the team’s technical development environment. Assist in determining project budgets, schedules and deadlines, and ensuring they are met. Work independently on complex tasks. Manage multiple and competing priorities. Research and recommend tools for implementation within project team. Communicate project strategy to team or project members. Participates in process re-engineering efforts. Conduct training for less-experienced staff members and internal or external customers. Guide, direct and teach less-experienced staff members in a mentor relationship. Prepare and conduct presentations for various user areas and staff levels. Represent company externally at a technical level. Provide input regarding performance reviews, promotions and developmental opportunities for existing staff. Provide input for candidate selection in the hiring process. Produce well-written business and technical documentation. Follow defined systems development process. Education and/or Experience 6 or more years of progressive experience in software development. Bachelors Degree in Computer Science preferred or comparable work experience in related field required.
