Our client is looking for a Technical Project Manager with development
experience in Microsoft .NET (C# and ASP.NET) and Microsoft SQL Server.
Qualified candidates must have both PM and technical level Microsoft .NET
programming experience that needs little supervision, has excellent
communication skills with stakeholders, can manage a team of 3-5
programmers, and most importantly, develop Microsoft .NET code. The chosen
candidate will manage development for one large project and several smaller
projects.
*Role Description: *
Programming/Development Duties:
Develop Microsoft .NET based applications (predominately using ASP.NET, C#
and Microsoft SQL Server)
Lead and serve as mentor/expert with regards to programming/development
team activities.
Monitor stability of production applications.
Create application code.
Prepare estimates for maintenance and enhancement of existing applications
and development of new applications.
Perform detailed reviews of interim and final tasks as appropriate.
Conduct structured walk-throughs or inspections; manage issues to closure.
Direct the development of accurate estimates for development activities as
required.
Identify and initiate continuous improvements.
Manage and lead the resolution of high severity production problems.
Produce software documentation for programming staff.
*Project Management Duties: *
Process work requests; review, prioritize, and package.
Manage and review tasks of suppliers and other interfaces for the
development team.
Develop and manage short and long-term plans and schedules.
Ensure work remains within the agreed scope.
Track work plan baseline against results.
Coordinate / communicate with stakeholders to ensure initiatives are in
accordance with agreed customer commitments as planned.
Proactively identify and manage issues/risks affecting the project.
Communicate accurate and useful status to management on a timely basis.
Instill commitment to quality, customer service, ownership, and teamwork.
Conduct post project wrap-ups.
Monitor and measure maintenance and development process effectiveness.
Ensure that defined processes are followed.
Manage expectations of the development team’s internal and external
customers.
Facilitate communication and knowledge sharing within the development team.
Maintain awareness of new developments in industry and processes and apply
as appropriate.
Develop and deepen understanding of system business requirements supported
by the development team.
Conduct structured walk-throughs or inspections; manage issues to closure.
Coordinate work with other teams as appropriate.
