The ideal candidate will have 8 or more years’ experience with at least three of them being on big data, NoSQL platforms like Hadoop using Map Reduce. A good understanding of relational databases is required. Experience with MPP databases like Teradata, ETL tools like Informatica, and BI tools like Business Objects will be a big plus. Hadoop and Java programming experience is key and they will not consider any candidate without Hadoop experience. This is a hybrid role with 60-70% of job is focused on programming using Java and Hadoop and 20 to 30% on ETL tools like Informatica and Datastage. 1. Strong Programming skills. 2. Two to three years of experience in map reduce, Hadoop etc. in a big Data Warehouse environment. ( mandatory) 3. Five to six years in Data Warehouse environments. 4. Experience working with open source Java application frameworks, APIs and tools. 5. Experience working with RDBMS and ORM tools. 6. Designing and implementing data-flow and ETL processing frameworks.
