This resource will participate in architecting new systems and storage,
performance tuning, security and compliance and leading other engineers in
a low latency trading environment. Example projects may include: - Tier 1
storage design, rollout and support - Latency reduction by implementing
kernel by pass with vendor NIC - Next generation CPU evaluation and
benchmark - SAN switches migration and standardization - Monitor systems
with Nagios, HP SIM, and IBM Systems Director - Deploy enterprise backup
solution - NAS gateway evaluation and deployment
*Responsibilities:*
- Formulates and defines system scope and objectives based on user needs
- Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex business problems
considering system limitations and capacity
- Prepares detail specifications for developers
- Provides technical expertise in evaluating new software modifications
that will enhance operating and development activities
*Skills:*
- *10 years plus experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux *
