My team is currently looking for a senior Java contractor with website
experience. See below for the details:
*Primary Responsibilities:*
Java development for the Westlaw Next Canada project.
- Design and Implement REST Web Based Services
- Develop server based software with Web Services and other XML based
technologies
- Data modeling, Data replication, Performance and tuning, Database
optimization, SQL in the Oracle environment
- Implement OO designs using Design Patterns in presentation and
business tiers
- Develop web application components using HTML, XHTML, and Java
script/J Query
- Web application development in J2EE platform
- Build web applications using Tomcat web application server
- Develop web applications using Hibernate, Spring, and Spring MVC
- Participate in Pair Programming and execute on test driven development
using J Unit
- Assist with modification of ant scripts as needed
- Develop software that operates within a highly scalable distributed
multi-tiered system
- Collaborate with architects and software engineers on design decisions
and direction for web application requirements and mentor less senior
personnel
- Participate with business units using Agile techniques and practices
to identify requirements and designs
- Regularly communicate with project team and management
