*Here is the description: *
QA Testing Analyst II acts as a key participant in application analysis,
test strategy development, test case creation, test script development,
test execution, defect tracking and reporting. The candidate may also be
required to train end users.
*About the Position: *
The candidate will create, review and execute test cases that ensure ABS
software systems perform according to documented business requirements. A
good candidate will have specific experience in all of the following,
*• Analyze and Test business rules *
*• Develop and execute automated tests *
*• Web service invocation and testing *
*• Service-oriented architecture *
*Responsibilities: *
• Analyze business rules and technical specifications.
• Design, develop and execute testing scripts, SQL queries, and test
drivers for mortgage application rules engine based on requirements,
specifications, and other relevant documentation.
• Generate test data files for regression and progression test cycles,
primarily in the form of flat files.
• Create, review, validate and maintain comprehensive regression test
suite.
• Automate the regression test cases and develop regression test suite
using Quick Test Pro.
• Execute regression test suite and report results and issues in a timely
and accurate manner.
• Ensure that test case standards are adhered to for all test cases
included in regression suite.
• Maintain awareness of new software testing tools and trends within the
software testing industry.
• Report and track problems by providing reproducible test cases, and
working with other product team members to close problem reports.
• Provide the test lead with accurate LOE estimates for test planning,
preparation, and execution.
• Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects, providing technology
and business partners with sufficient detail to understand, replicate and
resolve outstanding issues and defects.
*Qualifications: *
*Must-Have Skills: *
*• Strong logic and analytical skills. Candidates with both testing
business rules and develop automation scripts with QTP is a must. *
*• 3 years of demonstrated experience with HP testing suite of products
(Quality Center, QuickTestPro etc.). *
*• The Test Engineer should have a BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or
Mathematics. *
*• 5-7 years of hands on software testing experience. *
*• Should be familiar with current software testing methodologies to
include risk-based, boundary, black box and white box testing. *
*• Must have a solid understanding of the SDLC, configuration management,
and release cycles. *
*• Attention to detail is critical for this role. *
*• Strong SQL knowledge preferred with the ability to develop complex
queries. *
*• Demonstrates knowledge of some or all of the following: Web Logic and
with RDBMS such as Oracle, Quality Center and Clear Quest. *
*Nice to Have Skills: *
• HP/Mercury Certification.
• ASQ or QAI Certification.
