-IMMEDIATE NEED A CONSULTANT- Job Title: Sr. Oracle DBA Location: San Jose, CA (LOCAL ONLY) Duration: 6+ Months Contract In person interview required Key Responsibilities: Must have the 10 + YEARS EXPERIENCE Our client is a well-known global leader in high transaction e-commerce solutions. They currently have an immediate opening for a Senior DBA to work closely with the development group on database design and implementation projects. Qualifications Strong experience with large scale Oracle Database implementations. Ideal candidate will have experience working in a financial institution or internet company with large amounts of data. Experience with backup and recovery plans, implement and maintain database security, perform capacity planning. BS Degree in Computer Science or related engineering field. Must have 5+ years of extensive experience in managing Oracle databases and related technologies. Must have extensive experience in physical/logical database design. Must be able to do performance tuning and monitoring. Proficient with Partitioning and clustering. Solid experience with Oracle databases 10G and related products. Experience with distributed databases is a plus. Required knowledge of various hot and cold Oracle backup and recovery scenarios.
