-IMMEDIATE NEED A CONSULTANT- Job Title: SAN Administrator Location: Chicago O'Hare area,IL Duration: Long term project HEADLINE: Contract opportunity, scheduled to run through year-end, based in the Chicago O'Hare area, for a SAN Administrator with 3 yrs. Sys Admin and Enterprise SAN and backup experience; Strong EMC VMAX experience required. Excellent opportunity with one of our top clients, a prestigious financial services company in the Chicago O'Hare area, with a need for a SAN Administrator to work on a contract basis scheduled to run through the end of the year. The candidate selected will have a solid background as a SAN Administrator with heavy experience with EMC VMAX and CLARiiON, along with knowledge of SPDF. You will support disk arrays, tool sets and disk vendors. Must be open to working 2 Saturdays per month. Excellent company offers a very supportive work environment. Requirements: * 3+ years of SAN Admin experience and 2+ years of Enterprise SAN & Backup experience. * Must have heavy background administering EMC VMAX provisioning and storage. CLARiiON and Solutions Enabler knowledge is preferred. * Experience with SPDF ( EMC's replication technology ). * Must have experience supporting disk arrays, tool sets and working with disk vendors. * NAS NetApp is a plus. * Scripting experience with Power Shell, Unix Shell or PERL is preferred. * Bachelor’s degree in CS, Business or related field, or equivalent work experience. * Must be open to working a couple of Saturdays per month to handle work that cannot be done during normal business hours. No on call work required.
