skills: This position requires a solid team leader who is a
critical thinker and detail oriented. Candidates should display strong
verbal and written communication and a pro-active demeanor. The abilities
to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage a dynamically
changing workload are important. The candidate should operate effectively
in a rapidly changing environment and embrace change. A good understanding
of testing fundamentals and efficiency strategies is key. The candidate
should also have prior experience with upgrade/modification projects in the
space of technology infrastructure. Must have experience with system
integration, re-engineering and/or data migration projects.
- Understands the full SDLC.
- Good understanding of fundamental test design principles,
techniques and strategies
- Experience with infrastructure level projects such as
system upgrades, platform and technology migrations.
- Good understanding of Risk based testing and regression
strategies that focus on efficiency
- Knowledge of Mainframe and Networks technologies
- Ability to conduct a wide range of tests and analysis
with full competency to ensure that software, systems, and services meet
minimum company standards
- Ensure code meets defined end-user (functional) and
system (non-functional) requirements
- Previous experience with automated testing
- 3 plus years related experience as a tester and/or
programmer with Mainframe
- 2 plus years related experience as a tester and/or Sys
Admin for networking solutions
- At least 3 years experience with Test Management
(preferably Quality Center) and Defect Tracking tools (preferably
Rational), training and/or experience with tool administration functions
preferred; *
*familiar with Requirements Management tools and Modeling tools **
- At least 4 years Experience leading testing efforts for
multiple medium to large size projects
- At least 3 years experience in producing various testing
artifacts and metrics reports
- Ability to demonstrate database concepts and data
retrieval through complex queries.
- Working knowledge of Object Oriented Programming language
.
- At least 2 years Experience in Backend testing through
analysis of log files in Unix server and through queries to database to
validate system functionality and troubleshoot issues.
- Ability to create test cases and test data using HPQC
tools
- Ability to create and update the RTM as required
- Execute test cases and provide metrics and updates
- Document test results and coordinate with peers on
testing activities
- Strong verbal, written, leadership, communication,
attention to detail, and analytical/problem-solving skills required
Desired Skills
- CSQE, CSTE, CSQA or equivalent professional testing
certification *
