*Job Title : Senior Network Administrator*
*Work Location : Santa Clara, California*
*Billing Rate (USD) : $45-47/hr*
*Relevant Experience (Yrs) *: 7-10 years
*Technical/Functional Skills *: To help develop, design and
enhance Client’s Global Networking Infrastructure. This includes testing
and hands on solutions. The ideal candidate will have a broad background in
LAN/WAN operations with some VOIP experience. Network Services such as WAN
Optimization, Load Balancing, VoIP, Video Conferencing, Contact Center,
Multicast, A strong commitment to technical excellence and teamwork will be
required.
- Experience with Cisco equipment in a Production Environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent
work experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of L2 technologies-VLANs/VLAN tagging,
Spanning Tree, Ether channel
- Comprehensive knowledge of L3 technologies-IP Subnetting, IP routing,
BGP, OSPF , VRRP
- Experience with physical layer technologies-Gig/10G Ethernet, CAT5/6
cabling, Fiber
- Experience with network load balancers (Cisco CSS, ACE, A10), Proxies,
and WAN Accelerators
- Experience with network security- firewalls/ACLs, VPN services
- Basic understanding of VOIP technologies
- Core Network Services - DNS, NTP, syslog
- Understanding of IPSEC and VPN Technologies
- Dedication to exceeding quality standards and providing services of
the highest caliber
- Excellent multi-tasking and leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills; capable of
writing purchase justifications, training users in complex topics, making
presentations to an internal audience, and interacting positively with
cross functional Teams.
- Independent problem-solver, self-motivated, and has the ability to
work in a self directed workgroup
- IT operations knowledge – Ticketing Systems, Change Control, Asset
Management.
- Meticulous and well-documented work is an absolute must including the
ability to create Visio drawings of the network
- Ability to balance interruption with ongoing projects and deadlines in
a fast-paced work environment
- Knowledge of Cisco Product Family
- Protocols: OSPF, BGP, IGRP
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP fundamentals, L2/L3
- Cisco Unity, Call Manager, and Contact Center Express
*Experience Required : *7-10 years
*Roles & Responsibilities*:
- Install, configure, and maintain network hardware in a global network
environment
- Manage physical network connectivity in Data Centers and Remote Sites
- Monitor network utilization, capacity, and quality.
- Detect, diagnose, and resolve network problems using methods that
minimally impact our Production Environment
- Participate in infrastructure capacity planning and expansion
activities
- Analyze current and new network service requirements and provide
appropriate solution proposals where needed
- Support systems and application teams in identifying and resolving
complex functional issues, helping to identify or rule out network issues
- Maintain network security controls and compliance on all network
hardware
- Manage and work on tickets for Networking Group
- Support of VOIP Infrastructure
