*Job Description: *
- Technical Architect, will architect, design, develop, implement
and document software application architectures.
- She / He will own all technical commitments to customers and work
with team in successful delivery of the program.
- Technical architect will ensure that the technical solution meets
customer requirements.
- He / She will ensure that the overall technical quality of the
solution provided is in alignment with TCS and customer quality standards.
- The technical architect will provide mentorship and guidance to
technical team members.
*Core Responsibilities*
- Understand customer requirement and analyze, design, develop ,
implement and document technical architecture / design to meet those
requirements
- Coordinate with technical team across multiple geographies and
time zones, to drive the technical architecture and design
- Ensure the technical architecture / design meets TCS and customer
quality standards
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team members
*Desired Skills & Experience*
- 8 + years of software development experience with 3 years of
experience as technical architect/ lead designer
- Strong expertise in Java and Java base technologies including
strong hands-on skills in Spring, JSP, JSF, EJB, Hibernate, Maven
- Extensive experience in web services and restful services
- Extensive experience in developing multi-tiered Java web
applications
- Experience in application middleware (specifically Mule, WESB, WMQ
) with hands-on experience in integration with Host / legacy applications
- Experience in SOA architecture and implementation
- Experience in performance tuning of Java applications and
database queries would be a plus
- Experience in multiple application servers, databases would be a
plus
- Experience in Insurance / financial services will be a plus
- Experience in Agile development methodologies
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to function independently
- Experience in working with teams located across multiple geography
and time zones
