PL/SQL Database Developer (15 positions) Desired Start Date: March 12, 2012 Location: Dallas, TX *in person interviews* Term: 4 Months + Pay Rate: 50/hr max and not a direct end client requirement, Send resumes with consultant details for CLIENT DETAILS. *They will phone interview first but must be available for in person interviews after. * Seeking a Database Developer with ETL experience to design, develop, implement, maintain and support applications for hosted Database Marketing systems. *Qualifications:* Minimum of 7 years experience, Data Warehousing experience. Experience with Oracle and Netezza preferred. Ability to understand business processes. Strong knowledge of relational database concepts, PL/SQL, SQL and SQL optimization techniques. The ideal candidate will have participated in at least one successful data warehouse project and has good understanding of ETL tools, possesses knowledge of relational database engines, reporting and analytical tools. *Responsibilities:* Work with Business System Analysts on business requirements and functional specifications. Define, design and implement Oracle database designs to perform initial loads and ongoing refreshes of the database systems. Transform and load data according to the business specifications. Code and unit test modules. Execute system and integration tests. Perform enhancements and bug fixes as required. Define and execute data validation routines. Support applications and perform production data loads. Prepare applicable system documentation and operation manuals. Experience working with at least one relational engine in Unix or Linux environment to include shell scripting (ksh, bash). Must have SQL Loader experience Familiarity with job scheduling software, and source and version control products. Experience working with at least one ETL tool. Knowledge of data quality and profiling. Understanding of various source transformations, including flat files, XML and relational systems.
