*****Immediately Needed A Consultant***** * Cisco Network Engineer Boston, MA 6-12 MONTHS * Senior level network engineer with CCNP credentials to join a network support team. This senior level position is part of a team responsible for Project Rollouts, Network Maintenance, Support, Trouble Resolution, Root Cause Analysis and SLA maintenance for a large, enterprise LAN / MAN / WAN environment. In addition to daily SLA compliance and routine break-fix duties, and will develop and manage various projects to enhance & expand the network, including network architecture, detailed design, cost analysis, project planning, implementation, documentation and cross-training of peers. Excellent customer service & team building skills, interact directly with customers, to serve as a technical mentor within the team, and to participate in & foster a “team environment. Diagnose & resolve difficult network problems and to interact with application support teams to diagnose network / application performance issues. This position operates in a 7x24x365 SLA driven environment, requiring flexible work hours. Job Requirements: Demonstrated, in-depth, LAN / MAN / WAN support & engineering experience. Experience in supporting complex, enterprise level LAN / MAN / WAN networks. Advanced knowledge & experience with Cisco routing hardware, software, protocols, etc. Advanced knowledge & experience with Cisco switching hardware, software, protocols, etc. Familiarity with Cisco’s Nexus and Catalyst product lines. Experience with installation & maintenance of Cisco’s WiFi / 802.11 systems. Working knowledge of structured cabling, network facilities, electrical, UPS, etc. In-depth packet / protocol analyzers to find and remedy application and network performance issues. Willingness to participate and share in rotating on-call duties. Respond to on-call / on-site situations within required SLA parameters (2 hr max drive time). 12+ years of professional experience in WAN / MAN / LAN Network solutions, at the Enterprise level. Extensive Router, Switch and IP Configuration Experience. (BS) in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering (or related technical degree).
