*MS ETL / BI Developer* *Location: Tacoma, WA*
*Duration: 3+ months* *Job Description:* The Senior Developer will help lead the planning, design, and enhancements for all data warehousing relating to Client’s business intelligence (BI). The individual will also serve as a project lead for new initiatives that include acquisitions, competitive intelligence, and joint initiatives with specific Brands. The position reports to the Director of Business Intelligence resident to our Tacoma HQ. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - ETL data warehousing design, development, and utilizing star-schema (dimensional) data models. - Design and implement data staging, including staging database design and staging logic. - Designing ETL processes in SSIS, including data read/write, filtering and merging, data transformations, error handling, process design and logging. - Proven success building data warehouses for business intelligence solutions. - Change dimensions and data archiving utilizing specific transformations. - Develop and organize high-quality documentation. - Ability to understand the business solution that the data warehouse serves. - Facilitate all aspects of architecting, designing, developing, testing and implementing ETL solutions . - Performs analysis and provides insight into potential process improvements (performance tuning). - Embraces open dialogue and free exchange of ideas.
