Candidate must have a high degree of technical proficiency and will contribute positively to specific projects as part of the project planning, project management, implementations, requirements analysis, architecture/design, optimization, and Customer support processes. The essential functions for a SMA will be to assist the Customer with architecting the storage environment for performance, availability, recoverability, scalability, and capacity planning utilizing IT Infrastructure Library (“ITIL”) processes such as Change Management, Release Management, and Knowledge Management. The SMA will collaborate with the Customer’s staff and the local Professional Services team in order to assist the Customer through on-site support including: • Design and architect Customer’s storage solutions • Assist with automation of NetApp storage configuration for testing purposes. • Documentation to include Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP”s) and runbooks • Provide leadership on Sophia implementation activities • Testing and validation in either Customer or NetApp labs • Optimization including upgrades, performance monitoring, and system audit tasks. • Technical leadership in providing mentoring and guidance to other technical team members. • NetApp best practices implementation within Customer environment. • Training for architecture team and back-ups Remote office work is acceptable, but may require 1 to 2 to Schamburg, IL or Reston, VA.
