*Job Description *
*General Summary* – Senior Technical consultant
This position is responsible for the analysis, development, modification,
installation, testing and maintenance of objects in SAP areas like SALES,
FI, MM and LE.
This position requires a highly creative individual to assist the business
in supporting their existing business processes, defining solution
alternatives, and designing front end user interfaces with the business
user and process in mind.
The primary focus of this role is requirement gathering from the client and
co-ordination with offshore team.
Responsible for working with all Functional Teams to design the processes
and help them in preparing the functional spec.
*Key Work Performed*
· Analysis, development, modification testing and maintenance of
objects in SAP areas like SD,MM, FICO, LE, PP and PLM modules.
· Responsible for requirement gathering and co-ordination with
offshore team.
· Development of Inbound and Outbound IDOC interfaces.
· Supporting the existing SAPScripts and creating new smartforms/
Adobe forms for new requirements.
· Installing SAP notes.
· Creating. Modifying and adhering to Scotts Standard functional
and ABAP technical specifications
· Develop deliverables and assist the business and technical teams
with adoption of business and support processes.
Qualifications
*Education***
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or
other related field, or equivalent work experience.
*Experience*
· 6 years of total IT work experience in systems administration and
programming.
· 5 years of SAP ABAP programming user -exits, interfaces,
SAPscript, Smartforms, Adobe Forms, RFC, Reports, enhancements, Badi, IDOC
( inbound and outbound), routines and workflow in core modules such as MM,
FI, CO, SD, LE, PP and PLM.
Prefer experience in SAP ECC version 6.0.
· 4 years experience working with conversion tools such as
BDC/LSMW and other tools.
· 4 years experience working with enhancement framework and classic
BADI's.
· 4 years experience working with ALV reports and
classic/interactive reports.
· Experience in SAP support projects.
*Knowledge*
· SAP ABAP, Workflow Management.
· Some knowledge on HR ABAP.
· Modifies, installs and prepares technical documentation for
system software applications.
*Skills &Abilities*
· Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability
to express the rationale for selecting the best alternative to complete a
task.
· Strong perseverance abilities in the face of challenges and an
ability to deal with conflicts constructively.
· Ability to work in a team/cross functional environment.
