Need C Programmer Location: Bentonville, AR Duration: 12 Months Need EAD, GC, CITIZENS Skills: 1. C programming (basic data types, programming constructs, concepts, Data structures, pointers, memory allocation, deallocation, function pointers, basic programming guidelines, MACROs. Pointers, Bitwise operations are heavily used ) 2. C++ programming (basic data types, programming constructs, operator overloading, Data Structures, Pointers, Linked Lists, basic programming guidelines, MACROs, Classes, Objects, polymorphism etc All the OOAD concepts). (min 1+ years for Developer & 3+ years for Sr. Developer) 3. UML ( ability to understand UML representations and develop code accordingly) 4. XML (ability to understand XML is mandatory, ability to write parsers would be a plus) 5. Some Java - particularly Swing is a tremendous plus (for integration with SI GUI portions) 6. Exposure to Agile/SCRUM development process. 7. Exposure to working in a controlled release project with source repository like ClearCase or VSS is preferred. 8. Some level of comfort with a UNIX shell is expected plus basic commands of Unix as similar command used in IBM 4690. 9. Basic Perl. 10. Understanding of the make process for building and linking the code is crucial. 11. Understanding of the Retail Store Solutions framework, the POS system and a typical Store environment is a value add. 12. OS 4690 basics (not expecting to find anyone with this, but whoever is selected will have to be trained in this). 13. CBASIC (Good to have) 14. Above everything else, a willingness to adapt and improvise to a totally new operating system and application runtime environment.
