 *Relevant Experience (Yrs) *

1.        10+yrs Design and Architecture using object-oriented
methodologies
2.        10+ yrs experience in Java Development, experience as
senior-level Java developer/analyst required
3.        10+ yrs experience with Oracle or SQL Server development
4.        8+ year experience with web services, service based development,
XML/XSD
5.        10+ yrs experience as systems analyst/designer
6.        4+ years experience developing SOA Applications using BEA
Technical Stack.
7.        2+ years experience integrating distributed Applications
including .NET, J2EE, and Client/Server Applications.
8.        Hands-on experience with model-driven development preferably
using IBM Rational Software Architect or Sparx Enterprise Architect
9.        10+yrs Experience with developing and deploying J2EE components
within Oracle Weblogic Server
10.        5+ yrs Experience with Spring and Hibernate
11.        6+yrs experience with development of Java-based framework and
open source technology
12.        5+ yrs Experience with development tools such as Eclipse and
Maven
13.        8+yrs Exposure to Agile (TDD) methodology
14.        Comfort maintaining source code control system preferably
Subversion or CVS
15.        Working knowledge with automated build server preferably Cruise
Control, AntHill, or Hudson
16.        Ability to create cost-estimates and software/system development
Business Cases.
17.        Should have excellent communication, negotiation, decision
making, and problem solving skills.
18.        Must be a team player.
19.        Must have “can do” /”will do” attitude.

*Additional Technical Skills*

1.        Experience in a Cable, Telecom, or a Media company a plus
2.        Experience with Voice, Data, and Video technology a plus
3.        Exposure to Agile methodology a plus.

*Roles & Responsibilities*

1.        Design and Develop enterprise applications using Agile
methodology. Architect core components using Agile methodology.  This
includes creating Detailed Design using UML, Process Flows, Sequence
Diagrams, and sometimes pseudo-code level details.
2.        Develop detailed designs using Object-Oriented Methodology.
3.        Develop and unit test frameworks and mechanisms central to
building XML/SOAP-based web services.
4.        Develop Java Components
5.        Create database objects to support components
6.        Write Unit Test Cases
7.        Contribute to Design Service Domain solutions for key business
initiatives
8.        Utilize commercial off-the-shelf and open source technologies
9.        Identify functional test scenarios in line with business
objectives.
10.        Support testing efforts and Support documentation efforts
11.        Understand and consume application requirements and use cases
12.        Design and document technical solution strategies and
architectures fulfilling complex business requirements
13.        Interact with experts from support teams regarding the
definition and application of non-functional requirements for the solution
to be developed


14.        Provide input regarding the evolution of technological
platforms, and contribute to the definition and evolution of appropriate
technological strategies and roadmaps
15.        Develop prototype and architecture for new concepts and
technology that would eventually be used by the Development teams.
16.        Provide support and mentoring to both senior- and junior-level
developers distributed amongst the Development teams.
17.        Assist Operations team in optimizing and stabilizing the
platform through identifying and tuning performance bottlenecks.
18.        Offer 3rd level support for Development tools (e.g.
Maven/Artifactory, Cruise Control, and Subversion)
