Rate - $50/hr - $55/hr

*Summary:* Responsible for preparing corporation to transform from
Microsoft Windows XP to Microsoft Windows 7 by specifically performing
application readiness services associated to migrating end user environment
to Windows 7. Further, preparation and testing of next generation devices
will be required ensuring optimum performance and user satisfaction. Resource
or consulting organization will exercise agile project management in
fitting stakeholders/sponsor’s needs and deliver on desired outcomes.
Follow up and corrections will be required in meeting user satisfaction
surveys.
*Education/ Experience *
· Bachelor degree in an IT-related discipline.**
· MUST have an excess of 10 years experience in testing,
benchmarking, quality assurance, troubleshooting and exposure to third
party applications used to evaluate and monitoring device performance. **

*Skills and Competencies *
· Experience and consulting in Global IT projects.
· In-depth knowledge in building image operating systems – Win7,
Apple, etc.
· Usage of third party tools capable of testing and evaluating test
results.
· Capable of interrupting and presenting test result in a
professional and intelligent manner.
· Experience with management of desktops, infrastructure, and
global networks.
· Highly organized with good time management skills.
· Customer service orientation, and strong interpersonal skills.**
· Advanced verbal and written communication skills. **
· Analytical thinker with creative problem solving skills and
attention to detail. **
*Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: ***
· Conduct analysis of software applications and capability of
migrating from Windows XP to Win 7.**
· Using Microsoft’s ACT tool able to determine acceptance level of
software applications to Win7.**
· Will normalize/analyze resultant data from tools used to analyze
data in assisting with strategic decisions.**
· To present finding in an executive format for interpretation. **
· Will prepare application packages for software deployment by
LANDesk – MSI format.**
· Applications needing remediation will use AppDNA owned by
resource or consulting group to remediate or shim applications as required.
· Applications not capable of migration or remediation will be
presented and considered for upgrade or end of life.
· Browser based application will be tested and evaluated against
latest Microsoft IE and Chrome versions. Apps not compatible will be
presented and identified.
· Optimization and configuration of Apples to user satisfaction in
connecting to network resources.
· PC performance will be tested and benchmarked.
· Analysis of PC degradation will be reviewed and modifications
made as required per Change management controls.
· Recommend best solutions based on understanding of business
issues.
· Manage client expectations, anticipates operational and tactical
risks and tracks them. **
· Manage project closure initiatives, such as client satisfaction
survey and closure analysis .**
