: Managing the releases of critical production deployments
*Roles & Responsibilities*
:
- Owns Release Policy, process and planning; and enforcement thereof
- Owns Release Tools including Release Calendar and Forward Plan on
SharePoint
- Release design, build and configuration
- Coordinate Release acceptance (organize CCB meetings, document
decisions), sign-off for implementation
- Submit RFC’s to Change Control Board, and represent the change
(including Dev Team Changes).
- Identify scripting opportunities and where possible automat release
deployment to reduce manual process
- Maintain clear release documentation on content, schedule and success
of all releases (past, current and future)
*Generic Managerial Skills*
:
- Excellent Communication skills
- Very good understanding of the release processes
- Ability to clearly put the risks across and to say NO.
