Position: Powerbuilder Developer
Location: Denver, CO
Duration: 3 Months
Rate: $50-$55/Hr
Project Description:
.Position will analyze requirements for the enhancements and modifications.
.Position will design and code functionality as necessary.
.Position will complete periodic reviews of work product with State DCW
customers and CW Business Analysts.
.Position will work with State FTE at the end of the project to transition
the new and modified functionality.
.Position will document the work product for the new functionality.
The successful candidate must be capable of functioning independently and
able to work with confidential data without further disclosure. The
candidate will be required to sign a non-disclosure statement.
Conditions of Agreement:
1.Performance or method (design) specifications.
The newly created application enhancements and modifications to existing
Differential Response (FAR) functionality should work within the current
Trails production environment.
Design of the new functionality (enhancements) should follow Design
Specifications as well as current Trails Standards.
Configuration Management of the newly created functionality (enhancements)
should also be completed (Proper Check in/out procedures).
6.This task is not a project. Position shall work with DCW Program Staff and
CW Business Analyst assigned to ensure business requirements are available
in order to enhance and modify existing Differential Response
functionality. Supervisor shall assign other day-to-day routine assignments
as necessary.
7.Designation and qualification/experience/education and personnel to be
used
.Must have at least 5 years experience in system analysis, design and
development in Client/Server environment using PowerBuilder 10, PL/SQL,
Oracle version 10g or higher preferred (versions 8 and 9 acceptable) in
Client /Server environment under UNIX, Windows 2000/XP.
.Good understanding of relational structures, dimensional data modeling,
structured query language (SQL) skills, data warehouse and reporting
techniques
.Strong hands-on experience using SQL with a relational DBMS such as Oracle
and SQL Server 2000
.Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
.Ability to work in a collaborative team environment on fast-paced dynamic
projects.
.Experience with Trails Application including Trails database table
structures and knowledge of business functionality is highly desirable.
8.Scheduling expectation and format for any deliverables
1. Submittal of deliverable at the completion of tasks/milestones
.Document Requirements - Work with Subject matter experts and BA to define
detailed requirements for needed application modifications and enhancements.
.Analysis and Design - Implement a design that aligns with existing
Differential Response (FAR) in Trails.
.Configuration Management - CM all documentation and objects created as part
of the development task
.Troubleshooting and Diagnostics - Implement functionality to troubleshoot
errors and allow tracing.
.Testing - Unit test all functionality that is developed. Assist in System
integration Testing and User acceptance testing.
