*Description*


• Monitoring Engineer will be responsible to support the monitoring
infrastructure in delivering and maintaining the system management event
monitoring capabilities in tier 1 and 2 environments.
• Monitoring Engineer will also ensure that the monitoring infrastructure
will integrate the necessary functionalities to monitor the quality of the
services offered and compliant with service specifications
• Deliver monitoring solutions that are technically sound, resilient to
failure, operationally supportable, and meets the requirements of the
business producing Environment operational visibility
• Implementation and support of the Systems Management Monitoring solution
based on commercial and ad hoc software tools enabling robust event
monitoring across all strategic platforms and services, databases,
networks, servers and others as well as Service Level Agreement and
Business Impact monitoring
• Ensure that the monitoring system will be updated after the set-up of new
platforms and/or services, including Client/BMS transaction scripts
• Participate to the provisioning phase ensuring that the implementations
of new systems and services are taking into account the monitoring aspects
and providing to the operations the necessary documentation and procedures
in order to ensure the monitoring of the service in operation
• Maintain health of the environment by keeping the environment current
with upgrades and patches and by troubleshooting and resolving issues with
the associated tools
• Writing scripts (shell, bash, Perl, etc.) to execute monitoring tasks
that are out of the scope and capabilities of the monitoring systems.
• Participate and support troubleshooting and analysis processes in case
the dimensioning services or unexpected systems behavior impact the quality
of the services offered in a complex corporate infrastructure
• Develop, implement, and execute test plans for new and existing features
• Prepare and ensure accuracy of documentation, procedures manuals,
troubleshooting design monitoring test plans, and technology platforms and
skill set to lead test evaluation team.
• Conduct analysis of systems specifications and use analysis/diagramming
tools to represent business/technical processes
• Validate, troubleshoot and remediate issues impacting the operations of
including designs, builds, platform implementations and software packages
to determine if application and/or environment is operational
• Perform all activities in keeping with established change management and
approval procedures.
• With Technical and Operational staff ensuring that monitoring
capabilities are conformal with operational needs
• Monitoring Engineer will work in cooperation, communicating and
interacting with Corporate Enterprise teams, Developers, Release Management
, Sustainment, Deliver Services, Quality Assurance, Configuration
Management, Performance Engineers, automation, Data Management, and
stakeholders to; define, document, develop, automated, monitoring
processes, establishing standards that facilitate the fast, reliable
deployment of multi-tiered environments monitoring

years’ Client/BSM • 2 years’ of MS SQL • 2 years’ of direct, hands-on
testing experience in complex multi-tiered environments • 1 year working
with Vugen with HTTP Protocl • Experience working with multiple network
domains • Candidate must be able to adapt to a changing environment. •
Individual must be a self-starter who can solve complex infrastructure
issues from start to finish with little supervision. • Demonstrated
efficient and effective use of problem-solving and task prioritization to
solve complex monitoring and testing challenges • Work closely with
stakeholders to; develop automated and repeatable processes to validate
infrastructure, commercial off the shelf application, and internal system
implementation, and overall configurations, establish standards that
facilitate and deliver multi-tiered environments operational and workable
day 1. • Computer science degree or equivalent experience Pluses: •
Familiarity with ITIL processes (formal training/certification preferred) •
Experience working with VMware • Experience using Client Service • Hands on
experience with uCMDB • Hand on experience with DDMA • Hands on experience
with CEM (Customer Experience Management) • Hand on experience with Client
OVPM • Experience working with Spring framework • Experience working with
MQ, Sonic MQ • Web page generation • Ability to communicate complex
technical information to both technical and non-technical senior
stakeholders, both orally and in writing****
