WebSphere DataPower XI50 Developer - Software Tool Support – TA, Middleware
Enterprise Messaging Software Support            The selected individual
will join the EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) Project Engagement
team as a 3rd level developer for the WebSphere DataPower XI50 appliances.
  As a 3rd level developer, this individual will be expected to:  develop
mappings and integration flows on the DataPower platform, document designs
implemented, and provide testing support for ESB (Enterprise Service Bus)
solutions on the XI50 appliances.  Normal hours are standard business hours
with the expectation of rotating off-shift, remote support (pager/cell
phone) availability.



*Soft skills:*

· Strong knowledge of service mediation techniques using WebSphere
DataPower and experience in design, architecture, and implementation of
systems using WebSphere DataPower appliances

· Ability to recommend and design middleware solutions


· Ability to work with various project development teams to analyze the
integration requirements and provide input on how best to develop seamless
and highly reliable methods for communicating data between applications


· Strong oral and written communication skills


· Familiar with WebSphere DataPower configurations for Web Service Proxies,
XML firewalls, multi-protocol gateways

· Ability to work in a team environment


· Ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues related to WebSphere
DataPower

· Ability to adapt to a changing environment and priorities


· Familiar with general security concepts (authentication, authorization,
encryption, digital signatures), PKI concepts, and SSL

· Ability to do independent research and document findings


· Experience with WebSphere Application Server 7.0, WAS clusters, IMS, and
DB2

· Ability to lead trouble shooting efforts


· Experience and technical knowledge of web services, service-oriented
architecture (SOA), and Enterprise Service Buses (ESB)

· Can work independently without a lot of direction


· Proficient in XML/XSLT, SOAP, REST

· Pro-active

· Strong debugging and problem solving skills with excellent understanding
of system development methodologies, techniques and tools

· Good problem solving skill

· Knowledge of and development with WebSphere Transformation Extender (WTX)

· Strong focus on customer service


· Experience with middleware products WebSphere MQ (WMQ), WebSphere Message
Broker (WMB), and WebSphere Registry and Repository (WSRR) is a plus

· Working knowledge of ITIL Service Management principals


· Experience opening PMR and trouble tickets to IBM
