Must be capable of converting a logical model into a physical model o Writing and maintaining DB2 Stored Procedures o Creating and maintaining indexes o Creating and maintaining triggers o DB performance analysis and tuning, including memory footprint, I/O, processor o Linux administrator tools o Database modeling tools, ER Studio preferred o Java programming and JDBC s • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across multiple disciplines: architecture, development, operations, product, project management. • Self-starting • Ability to independently research problems and come up with solutions • Travel Industry experience a plus 3-4 years The ideal candidate will blend an interest in administration with a keen understanding of good DB development practices. He or she will have several years of experience as a DBA with DB2 on Linux.
