Position: Data Modeler

Location: Bentonville, AR

Length: 8 months

Start Date: ASAP

Rate: $55/hr- (must be on West coast or Midwest)

 

Overview:

The Data Modeler is responsible for the detailed design of a project’s data 
integration component.  A typical data integration design effort usually 
involves 
working with the business users to determine the specific business, 
transformation 
and standard data handling rules, developing the detailed data mappings and 
assisting the ETL Developers and system owners to validate the results. 

 

Requirements:

1.      Must have 3-5 exp  creating  enterprise logical data modeling 
architecture 
components and drive the solution based on business requirements, current state 
architecture, data analysis input, and best practices including: 

a.      Experience in creating: { Understand core concepts of logical data 
modeling}

b.      Enterprise-level logical data models

c.       Enterprise-level canonical model

2.      Must have SME utilizing ERWIN data modeling tool

3.      Understand Zachman Framework

4.      Experience with:

a.      ARTS model is helpful

b.      Ignite XML is helpful

c.       ProVision is helpful

d.      Dimensional Modeling is helpful

e.      modeling Logistics and/or HR systems is helpful

5.      Develop the data mapping requirements, design and support for 
operational 
Business 

6.      Experience with Retail, Supply Chain and Transportation subject areas 
is a significant differentiator

7.      Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of the 
organization.

8.      Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be strong and effective 
communicator

9.      Good writing skills and ability to multi task in the support of this 
project
