Hello,
Position:- *SQL Developer** with Trading exp.* * * Location:- NYC,NY Duration:- 6 months + possibly extension.(Need Local) – production support to start Will be part of reporting and development team – need to create new reports or modify. Need decent SQL - any SSIS is a big plus Production support team and release Work on ad hoc requests and release cycle – twice a month releases go out and and work on EOD pricing and pricing modules SQL – interaction with combination for simple and complex stored procedures and queries Will modify and code on their Work on requests from the Sales and marketing team – be able to work with Users Independent attitude to "get it done" Handle the volume of requests from the business When doing development – think about how all the systems connect together .. Not just "your piece" *Requirements* Business Segment Experience: We need someone who has been working in the financial sector. This exposure will help the new consultant to acclimate to our environment faster. Our company is built around a trading platform for fixed income securities A pro-active nature: There will be a minimum of hand holding that can be done. We’re not talking about tossing them into the deep end of the pool and walking off, but we do expect a get it done capability. Items are thrown at our group in a rapid fire fashion and we are very often working under the gun to provide results to the business. A person who can operate in our environment will be able to react quickly to these kinds of requests. Microsoft SQL Server Transact SQL: They have to have this cold. It is the chief tool that will be depended on in their day to day job performance. *Needed, But Less Important* SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS): They should know this, but don’t have to be an expert. Excel: Many of the ad-hoc report requests that we get are handed back to the requesting user in Excel format. They will need to be able to do this. *Nice To Have* Micro Strategy: It is our front end reporting tool. We have people on staff who are covering this for us. If a candidate indicates that they have this skill we will ask about it, but not otherwise. Not having this skill will not negatively impact a candidate in any way. *Initial Duties* To take over the day to day support activities and release coding requirements from the person currently holding this position. There will be necessary teaching from the current staff to come up to speed on this. Support activities are mostly ad-hoc kinds of requests for data that can’t be satisfied by the Micro Strategy front end. For many of these requests there are already queries and packages developed. In those cases these queries and packages can be given over. In other cases it may take a bit of figuring to get to the desired end result. EOD troubleshooting: This doesn’t occur often, but is important when it is needed. Release Coding: Elements that require frequent update are the EOD process and customer billing specifics. These items will typically fall to this person. They will have to code these, get them promoted to QA, and interact with the QA people to close the items. Once the basics are in place, this person can begin to become involved more directly in the longer term development aspects of the group. *Warm Regards,*** *Lee Nanda* *Sr. IT Recruiter** **Source Infotech Inc.** *40 Brunswick Avenue, Suite # 200, Edison, NJ, 08817 Email: Lee <[email protected]%7CPhone>@sourceinfotech.com<[email protected]>|| *Phone: 609-249-1630** || *Fax: 732-909-2282 ||Gtalk:[email protected]||Yahoo:- [email protected] ------------------------------ CONFIDENTIALITY: The information contained in this message and any attachment may be proprietary, confidential, and privileged or subject to the work product doctrine and thus protected from disclosure.
