Manual QA really need to have experience with Automated Clearinghouse. General Summary Under the direct supervision of Director of Quality Assurance/Release Mgt., the QA Analyst is responsible for coordinating the testing and certification of user stories, features, and defects. Additionally, this role will execute and/or monitor the automated and manual testing processes and report testing results to the product team, Product Owner, and other stakeholders. This also includes working with the UAT testing team to prepare the environment with specific data for their testing. Principal Duties and Responsibilities • Write manual test cases as warranted. • Work with the product owner and other stakeholders to establish the set of User Acceptance Tests that will be used to determine the success of the story in question. • Execute manual tests as needed. • Create, execute, and analyze the results of automated tests. • Collect and report testing results to the product team and stakeholders on a regular basis. • Monitor defects so that they progress a timely manner and adhere to the defect tracking process/standards • Review system defects and ensure they are adequately retested when fixed. • Groom/refactor test scripts to cover changed system behavior and defective behavior. • Contribute in post-implementation and production support as required. • Develop and maintain test plans for software quality assurance. • Execute test plans in coordination with development schedules. Experience • Minimum 5 years testing experience with web-based applications. • Agile testing experience preferred. • Bachelor degree in computer science or similar field or equivalent work experience. • Additional preferred skills include: scripting or light programming experience (macros, batch files, web pages, etc) and experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, WATiN, Wax are a plus). • A solid understanding of all aspects of the SDLC. Skills and Abilities • Ability to organize test design approaches around maximum impact for time allotted (eg, “first things first”). • Ability to assess risk on user stories and defects and write appropriate test coverage. • Well rounded testing experience with component (function) testing, system testing, and regression testing in an eCommerce application environment. • Functional understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, DHTML, AJAX, XML, XSL, etc.) • Ability to execute parameterized stored procedures. • Understanding of and ability to create SQL queries. • Demonstrated initiative and ability to start, develop, and complete short and long term projects. • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in the implementation of project specifications and design requirements. • Comfortable in a fast-paced and cutting edge software development environment.
