Automation Engineer TX These are not senior level positions but we are looking for someone with great technical skills specifically with C# and an understanding of fixtures and the QA Automation process. If they have a strong development background with a passion for QA we’d be interested in seeing those resumes as well. We currently use Fitnesse and Selenium automation tools. General Summary Under the direct supervision of the Sr. Manager, QA Automation, the QA Automation Engineer is responsible for creating and maintaining test automation scripts within established coding standards and using efficient coding practices. Principal Duties and Responsibilities • Write, maintain and execute automated test scripts using automation tools. • Develop, execute and maintain Load Testing Scripts • Work with manual testers to automate portions of projects to decrease time to market. • Developing test strategies for analyzing and improving test coverage • Implementing and expanding automation test coverage. • Developing and maintaining automation infrastructure and environment. • Find, report and follow up on defects found using automation using our defect tracking tool. Experience • Minimum 3 years testing experience in QA Automation. • Minimum 5 years Software Quality Assurance Experience. • Strong background in Object Oriented programming (Java, .net, C++) • Bachelor degree in computer science or similar field or equivalent work experience. • Experience with automated testing tools and open source tools (Microsoft Test Manager, QTP, Selenium, WATiN, are a plus). • A solid understanding of all aspects of the SDLC. Skills and Abilities • Ability to organize test design approaches around maximum impact for time allotted. • Excellent Communication skills. • Well rounded testing experience black, gray and white box testing with component (function) testing, system testing, and regression testing in an eCommerce application environment. • Functional understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, DHTML, AJAX, XML, XSL, etc.) • Ability to create and execute parameterized stored procedures and complex SQL queries. • Demonstrated initiative and ability to start, develop, and complete short and long term projects. • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in the implementation of project specifications and design requirements.
