*Title: *SAN Engineer *Duration: *3-6 Month *Location: *Parsippany, NJ *Minimum Requirements:* The primary purpose of this position is to design technical solutions based on business requirements, set standards, and develop technical strategies for the implementation of projects. *Responsibilities:* The Senior Engineer will assist with the development of migration, testing, implementation plans and configuration of new and existing technologies which include EMC SAN/NAS technologies and Cisco MDS switching and IBM and HP SAN technology and Symantec Netbackup Software and IBM tape libraries. This role will participate in cross-functional meetings (with Development Team, BA's, and User Groups) to understand application design and requirements necessary to create quality technology solutions. S/He will be responsible for training and providing technical guidance team members. The Senior Engineer will develop relevant documentation for new large-scale technologies that will be supported by other groups while making recommendations and modification to technology in response to business requirements or systems configurations. This role will be responsible for ensuring the transition of new large-scale technologies to the Deployment and Support teams assisting with trouble resolution when needed. Additionally, s/he will improve user/external vendor relationships. *Description:* *Qualifications* Qualified candidates must have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or four to six years experience with hands on experience with relevant technologies. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills are required along with strong verbal and written communication skills. Candidates must have the ability to work under minimal direction as well as in a team environment. Basic understanding of Project Management Principals is required.
