NPD Global Inc. is looking for a *Network Architect* based out in *New York
City, NY*

*Title: **Network Architect**
Duration: 6 plus month Contract
Location: New York City, NY*

Network Architect is a self-starter/self-motivated, team player with 10+
years in the networking profession. The Network Architect is responsible
for planning and designing the company’s complex data network
infrastructures, procurement and implementation plans. This position also
requires providing 3rd level support to the Enterprise group for monitoring
and troubleshooting of these networks. Project management and documentation
are key responsibility for this position.



Network devices and Technologies include Cisco, various wireless
technologies and IPMan and DHCP appliances. Manage and maintain multiple
data centers and offices. Managing small groups is a plus for this
position. Managing a group of technical professionals consultants is a plus.



Essential Functions:

Analyze technical needs, requirements, and state of the network’s
infrastructure design, integration, and operations

Planning & Design of LAN, WAN and external network data connections.

Planning & Design of network management systems and monitoring systems.

Planning & Design of voice network and PBX systems

Implementation plans for all LAN, WAN, voice and external network
connections - including organizing vendors and users, network drawings and
scheduling

Troubleshooting LAN, WAN, voice and external network connections -
including the utilization of network management/monitoring systems.

Participate in selection of networking techno

logies and products for implementation

Lead teams of other network designers and engineers in developing detailed
designs and quality-control mechanisms during implementation

Experience/Abilities:

Experience implementing and managing Cisco powered networks, including QOS,
IBGP and BGP

Experience implementing Cisco based Nexus architecture, including LISP

Experience implementing FCOE solutions utilizing legacy network topologies.

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in designing, developing, configuring, and
implementing enterprise networks with diverse solutions from multiple
vendors.

Preferred Cisco CCDE, CCIE and other professional certifications (CISSP)
preferred.
