Working within a growing team in the Ft. Lauderdale office, the candidate responsibilities will include design, coding, troubleshooting and optimization of Java-based application. *Our technology stack includes Java 1.7, J2EE, Oracle 11g, Hibernate, Struts, Spring, EJB, Tomcat, WAS, Liferay. * A significant focus will be applied to overall application performance and ensuring the delivered solution is highly efficient and scalable. *II. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONS:* This position reports to development manager. . *III. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:* • Design & Development of Java/J2EE based application based on business requirements, while adhering to Citco development standards *• Proficient in web technologies, including HTML, XML, CSS, AJAX, and JavaScript* *• Requires technical skills that include Java/JEE, Web Services, -N- Tier Architecture, and Oracle* • Optimization and troubleshooting • Documentation of developed solution • Technical direction according to development best practices and current development technologies *IV. Other:* • Knowledge of financial industry an asset • Experience on any Portal technologies is a plus • Excellent problem solving and communication skills. • Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies • Must be able to meet deadlines and changing priorities in a high-pressured environment • Possess the ability to stay calm and professional with clients and staff experiencing technical issues *V. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:* • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience; relevant designations an asset • 5+ years experience in development of web applications and/or software • 3+ years professional hands-on experience of the full SDLC in J2EE based application development • 4+ years of Object Oriented development experience, using Java The ideal candidate will have proven experience in development of enterprise level JEE applications and delivering efficient and scalable solutions.
