Job Description: The Android Developer works closely with the Mobile Team Technical Lead and is responsible for developing mobile application for android smartphones. Android developer is expected to develop architecturally sound, modular, maintainable component-driven applications. They are expected to adhere to our software development life-cycle processes. Primary Responsibilities: • Work closely with Mobile Team Lead to design and develop android native and web applications on android smart phones • Participate in the analysis, design and development (coding) of existing applications and • Consult with server-side engineers to refine and extend content APIs to expose content to mobile applications • Optimize and extend existing applications and other web-based applications for performance and enhanced user experience • Strong object-oriented design and development skills • Broad-based and in-depth experience with the entire system development life cycle • Knowledge of using web services and RSS feeds in the application Requirements: • 2+ years of Experience with Java/JSP and Android OS mobile development preferably with apps on the Android Market. • Expertise or familiarity with well-designed user interfaces, specifically for Android or other common mobile devices. • Keep up-to-date on the latest Android SDK developments, customer feedback and testing • A firm understanding of building mobile applications that utilize web-services (either HTTP based, XML, SOAP, JSON or other services), in order to tie applications to server-side APIs. • Experience in web technologies including SOA / Web Service implementation would be an advantage • Should be familiar with version control (Subversion) • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Experience with Java, EJB, and JSP technologies and frameworks a plus • Strong knowledge of design patterns and MVC framework a plus • A thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is critical Thanks, Samir [email protected] Rider Consulting Inc. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT.Groups" group.
