*Job Title : Java Developer* *Location : NYC, NY* *Duration : 6 Months* *Mode Of Interview: Telephonic followed by Face 2 Face* *Position Description * The Client Commerce Data Model Team is looking for a *Java* *Developer* to deliver messaging application program interfaces (APIs) for an enterprise wide data model. The model supports front-to-back execution of all pre and post trade businesses in the investment bank including Sales, Trading, Risk, Operations, Control Functions and Finance. This is a critical role to enable Client technology teams deliver applications that interact with the new enterprise data model. The initial focus for this role will be delivering APIs to support a new Detailed Derivatives Subledger system with an enterprise-wide, multi-function, multi-asset data model. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate strong *Java*technical skills, both at high level architecture and design, and detailed implementation. The role will also require excellent teamwork and communication skills as success will depend on the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with many other technology teams located in different geographical locations. *Skills Required* *Java* server side development skills. Messaging using a JSON or XML standard. Object-oriented analysis and design experience. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Good background working with complex data schemas. Excellent oral and written communication skills. *Skills Desired* Relational database development experience with SQL on DB2 or Teradata is desirable. Google Protocol Buffers Scala Data modeling Working with conceptual, logical and physical data models Knowledge of the trade lifecycle including Trade Capture, Risk or Subledger functions.
