Therefore, preference for local candidates.* * ------------------------------ * *Sr. Application Developer/Analyst* Experienced in both application and middleware (web services) development. * * *Skills:* · *Java* · *E**xtensive experience using Web Methods* · *Familiar with XML and XSLT transformations* · *Must be able to flush out functionality and associated interfaces by looking at code, etc.* * * *Background* The *Auto Catalog Generator (ACG)* is a multi-tiered process currently dependent upon systems and personnel from IT, eServices and consuming business units. It is utilized to provide programmatic as well as manual downloads of software upgrades and documents to people and platforms. ACG Is a collection of services and web-services, which is used to automatically retrieve information about files (metadata) from Powerlink. It then creates an XML catalog and makes it available for consumption in programmatic ways. The high level outputs of the application include: · *Invoking a webMethods service* · *Invoking a webservice on Powerlink* · *Retrieving information from Powerlink Content Management System* · *Converting the XML information from the Powerlink webservice into a catalogue node using XSLT transformations* · *Publishing the catalogue to the webMethods database* Major responsibilities: 1) flush out the details of the application end-to-end, 2) provide technical and process documentation and 3) provide interim support/transitional training.
