·         *Must be able to flush out functionality and associated interfaces
by looking at code, etc.*

*Background*

The *Auto Catalog Generator (ACG)* is a multi-tiered process currently
dependent upon systems and personnel from IT, eServices and consuming
business units. It is utilized to provide programmatic as well as manual
downloads of software upgrades and documents to people and platforms.

ACG Is a collection of services and web-services, which is used to
automatically retrieve information about files (metadata) from Powerlink.
It then creates an XML catalog and makes it available for consumption in
programmatic ways.



The high level outputs of the application include:

·         *Invoking a webMethods service*

·         *Invoking a webservice on Powerlink*

·         *Retrieving information from Powerlink Content Management System*

·         *Converting the XML information from the Powerlink webservice
into a catalogue node using XSLT transformations*

·         *Publishing the catalogue to the webMethods database*



Major responsibilities: 1) flush out the details of the application
end-to-end, 2) provide technical and process documentation and 3) provide
interim support/transitional training.  This will require a self-starter
who can use his/her technical, analytical and soft skills to derive the
information needed.

*Tasks:*

·         Identify and decompose the technical and process elements that
make up the ACG process and application work stream

·         Investigate any gaps and take steps towards remediation

·         Make recommendations regarding skills/effort to support and
provide basic services.

·         Develop and transition the knowledge required to support and
enhance the application going forward

·         Provide up-to-date technical and process documentation
