Role:Oracle eBS Payroll Functional Consultant Location:Pittsburgh, PA Duration:2 Years Interview: Face to face after telephonic Brief Description Of Assignment: The successful candidate will be responsible for providing post-deployment functional support for break-fix and enhancements for the Oracle eBusiness Suite (eBS) Payroll module, including translating customer enhancement requirements into functional design details, writing and interpreting functional design documents for Oracle add-ons and extensions, interacting with technical developers on issues and enhancement requests, interacting with Oracle Support on software problems, performing analysis and testing for required Oracle Payroll patches and performing application configuration setups. Years of Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of 'hands-on' functional and business process support of the Oracle eBS Payroll module. Personal Skills Required: o Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills o Ability to work closely with other functional and technical analysts in a team environment o Ability to understand business processes, gather and document functional requirements, and develop and execute detail test plans o Must be flexible, self-motivated and demonstrate follow-through on work assignments o Must demonstrate strong analytical and testing skills and the ability to manage and complete multiple assignments with minimal supervision. o Must have experience in mentoring other team members in support of Oracle eBS HR modules Technical Skills Required: o Strong functional and technical knowledge of Oracle eBS Payroll module including experience with Payroll Fast Formulas o A high level of understanding of the interconnections between the Payroll module and other Oracle eBS modules, particularly Human Resources, Compensation, General Ledger and Accounts Payable o Excellent analytical skills in Oracle eBS applications and proven experience investigating, researching, recommending and testing Oracle patches o Understanding of Oracle table structure and experience writing SQL against those databases using TOAD software o Familiarity with Workflow Administrator to investigate problems and understand process flows o Strong technical knowledge of XML, XSL, XSLT o Experience using Dataloader software Major Responsibilities: o Providing business user support for standard and customized Oracle eBS Payroll module requests relating to application functionality questions and investigation of issues. Provide root cause analysis and workable solution options. o Interacting with the HCM Technical development team on analysis and triage of production issues as well as enhancement requests. o Writing and interpreting functional design specification documents for Oracle interfaces, reports and extensions. o Updating systems documentation and work instructions for Payroll functional post-production support processes. o Gathering customer requirements, performing detail analysis and working with technical developers, DBAs, and Oracle Support to meet these requirements. o Performing thorough testing of application changes, system and regression testing, adhering to standards and practices that meet Quality Management and ISO standards. o Performing analysis and testing for Oracle patches as required for compliance and/or issue resolution. o Interacting with internal and external customers. o Mentoring other functional analysts on the team supporting the Oracle eBS Payroll module.
