The client software is developed in C# on .NET 2.0, The Software Services team develops and supports application frameworks and some associated trading applications The software architecture is a blend of C#/.Net Winforms client applications and Unix-based C++ servers providing the following functionality: Pricing Analytics, Position Management, Electronic Markets, Trade Capture, Realtime Pricing, Historical Charting This role will be focused on further development of the ticket capture components in the trading application. Additionally, it is important that the application retains a reasonable memory footprint, is fast and responsive, and well set up for further customizations Required Skills: · 3-5 years of C# experience with Winforms · Solid understanding of the fundamentals of GUI development with .NET · Experienced a structured environment such as software house or large team. · Application development involving an understanding of the user domain, rather than just implementing technical solutions. · Multi-threading experience · Proven experience of complete project lifestyle. · Development experience on a large complex codebase · Sound knowledge of OO methodology · Basic Fixed Income knowledge required. Financial knowledge: · Front office IT experience · Improving development practices for team as a whole · C++ · Unix Must Have: · Strong interest in financial products and eager to develop a career in technology in the front office of an investment bank. · Takes ownership of issues and manages them appropriately. · Genuine interest in teamwork. Proven record of making improvements for the team as a whole, assisting and working with others and aligning development work with team objectives. · Understanding that application development is more than purely coding. · Enthusiastic.
