*Position: C++ Consultant* *Location: Chicago, IL* *Job Description:* - 4+ years of experience in C, C++ in Unix with database knowledge in RM - This position will report to a Sr. Manager or Principal Architect in the Revenue Management IT area. - He/She will be responsible for data analysis/preparation and programming for inputs into forecasting and optimization functions for the Orion and Passenger Valuation systems that constitute the Revenue Management engine of the airline. - Strong oral and written communication skills are required as well as strong project organizations skill, including prioritization, planning and organization. - The skill set must include: SQL, EDW Data analysis, C programming, UNIX shell scripting - Data analysis of existing Enterprise Data Warehouse tables and SHARES reservation system raw data. - Design enhancements to existing feeds and/or create new data feeds to improve the accuracy/data needed for the Inventory Management System. - Designing, testing, and implementing new programs to facilitate the improvement. - Bachelor’s Degree in a Technology discipline and possessing 4 or more years’ experience in development and implementation of large scale enterprise technology systems. Ability to independently problem solve and be self-directed, having attention to details, and the ability to capture, organize and analyze information. Excellent knowledge of SQL and programming languages, ideally C or C++.
