The Network Engineering team is responsible for LAN/WAN design and implementation of LAN's, WAN, VoIP, and data center networks. It is charged with expanding and securing the entire enterprise network to support new offices, to ensure its reliability, maintainability, and extensibility, and support current and future corporate initiatives.** * * *Duties and Responsibilities:* *List the job’s essential or most important responsibilities. These are the tasks and duties that are most important to get the job done. Include any budget responsibility, contact with other agencies or departments to perform duties):* * * • Manage a team of network engineers while being hands-on with various tasks • Provide leadership and vision for network design and implementation. • Lead successful technology projects in areas such as network access control, intrusion detection, IPv6, WAN optimization, security and network resiliency. • Responsible for the introduction and oversight of policies and procedures • Manage vendor relationships. Ensure IT vendor engagements are properly planned, managed, and coordinated. • Develop and execute audit documentation and testing activities for major regulatory initiatives (PCI, privacy laws, eDiscovery support, ITIL, etc.). Ensure proper controls have been implemented to protect sensitive company assets. • Function independently and recommend changes to operations, standards, policies, and procedures to maintain support capabilities • Ensure proper change control is managed and maintained for the Operations Environment. Track all changes, test, document, and manage communication for changes to the environment. • Responsible and accountable for overseeing employee’s performance including preparation and presentation of performance reviews for direct reports. Directs employee salary/pay administration including disciplinary action for direct reports. Determines staffing requirements and performance selection interviews. Directs employee’s adherence to Company and department policies, procedures, and practices. * * *Supervisory Responsibilities **If this position supervises others, give the name of department(s) managed and number of employees supervised.
