Please send me matching candidates [email protected] Role:Application Architect Duration :Long Term Location : Hartford, CT Responsibilities: · Develop an appropriate solution design, working with all relevant business and IT subject matter experts, that meets the stated business needs of the project. · Documented and justify the solution in the Software Architecture Document, should be consistent with architecture best practice, enterprise standards and blueprints. · Any exceptions must be identified, justified and approved via the necessary processes. · Responsible for the technical direction for the project and may provide support and mentoring for technical SMEs according to the agreed level of engagement necessary for the success of the project. Participate in business requirement sessions. · Lead diverse teams using effective communication including IT departments and project team members. Utilize Rational and Microsoft tools to deliver the architecture artifacts. Skills/Experience: · Many years experienced in an Architecture role, distinct from prior development experience, supporting computing applications in a large scale environment. · Strong leadership skills to lead a project through the architectural development process and collaborate with application development teams, architects and other members of the software development team. · Must possess effective communication skills. Strong grasp of Design Patterns and industry standard architecture principles - e.g. General knowledge of application, data, and security architecture, Experience developing performance test strategy, and non-functional attributes etc, Hands on experience with POC - Proof of Concept, Experience evaluating third party software. · Demonstrated proficiency in designing solutions with distributed applications in which multiple operating systems, languages, middleware and vendor applications interoperate. Use of Service Oriented Architectures in high volume transaction environments. · Knowledge of Rational UML Modeling tools - RSM/RSA building for Process Models, Service Modes, and use cases. · Knowledge of Mainframe, Cobol, Java development environment preferably WebSphere Application Server, Java development, asynchronous messaging architecture (MQ Series), designing object-orientated applications using one or more of the following: Spring, Struts, J2EE. · Prior experience in a technical/development role Knowledge of Health Insurance industry Key Technical Skill: · Mainframe/Cobol, Java/J2EE, Process modeling and Service Modeling. · Key Tools Experience – RSA/RSM – IBM Rational suite Thanks, Samir [email protected] Rider Consulting Inc. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "US_IT.Groups" group.
