technical analysis and associated solutions for a set of applications in
production and to ensure their availability for the business as per agreed
Service Level Expectations (SLE) or requirements

Risk Management from an enterprise / banking systems context

·        Install and support MS SQL servers and  databases -- sql server
2008 and 2005

·        Performance and tuning of MS Sql servers

·        Monitor MS Sql servers

·        Plan for and perform upgrades of MS Sql software

·        Design and implement SSIS packages for server maintenance, data
transfer and cleaning, and other tasks

·        Assist developers in SQL query tuning

·        3-4 years Sybase DB administration

·        Sybase Replication server experience

·        Korn/Bourne shell and Perl programming


·        Install and support ASE 15 Sybase servers and databases

·        Backup and recovery of all Sybase databases

·        Maintain Sybase data replication -- RepServer 12.6 and 15

·        Performance and tuning of Sybase servers

·        Plan for and perform upgrades to Sybase software

·        Plan for Sybase server hardware upgrades

·        Maintain Sybase server hardware

·        Monitor Sybase servers

·        Monitor nightly Sybase data loading from production to development

·        Database consistency checking
