Oracle DBA / Developer
3 months then part-time
Cincinnati Ohio + remote
They will need to be on-site for a few weeks to get comfortable for
the people, role and tasks. After that, I think we can have them
off-site, but they will need to be able to come back on-site if
needed. The 20% listed below is just a day a week, but the time is
likely to be spread over the week.
1. Five plus years Oracle DBA experience including
a. Standard account, file, resource and services administration
b. Database performance analysis and tuning using oracle tools
c. Query analysis, ranking and metrics analysis
d. Tablespace monitoring, allocation and other routine
management tasks
e. Oracle connectivity diagnostics and troubleshooting
on Linux and Windows.
2. US based (i.e.; lives in US)--ie--our time zone EST
3. Speaks good English Can be H1, EAD, GC or Citizens
4. If remote, has hi-bandwidth, VPN connection to the data center
Time requirements for DBA availability will be:
1. Full Time either Sep-Oct-Nov, or Oct-Nov-Dec (8am
to 5pm EDT);
2. 0.2 FTE after full time three month period ends
(9am to 6pm EDT).. 8 hours per week

Is this an Apps DBA? (if so, what modules) **** No, the DBA function
will be for a custom app
What development tools? (Oracle Report, Oracle Forms, etc.) ***
Standard Oracle tools and a few industry standard tools (Toad)
Any Peoplesoft involved? *** No
Hours they will be expected to work? *** while full time 8am to 5pm
EDT – while part time, on call from 9am to 6pm EDT
Verify they must be in Cinci for the 3 months and then in Cinci for
the on-call work? **** Yes need the opportunity of them to go on-site
if needed (I think they will be flexible here)
