Please send me matching candidates [email protected] Role:SCM- Build Engineer Location:Denver, CO Duration:Long Term Job responsibilities: Execute configuration management activities associated with product releases as a member of the Configuration Management team. Implementing basic configuration management procedures to build and release software products. Work closely with Development, QA, and Operations to implement release processes throughout the entire product development life cycle. Qualifications: · Responsible for overall execution of build and deploy activities in the QA and production environments · Maintain the build system and create automated build scripts and procedures · Administer and customize/extend SCM tools; train internal users · Recommend CM process improvements · Negotiate and coordinate project milestone dates with team leaders, Engineering Managers and Program Managers · Participate in specification document reviews as required · Act as a mentor and train less-experienced staff members · Stay abreast of new technologies in the industry · Represent CM on cross-functional project teams The candidate should be comfortable in a leadership role to include: · Extensive knowledge of advanced configuration management methodologies in a software development organization · Detail oriented, excellent organizational and planning skills · Demonstrated initiative to improve both technical knowledge and process; ability to learn and apply skills to new technology · Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with peers, senior staff, and internal or external customers · Flexibility to work in a constantly changing environment; ability to successfully multi-task. · Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical manuals and high-level requirements documentation. · Able to assume role of CM expert for specific build and deployment methodologies, automation tools, or architectures. · Experience with build tools such as ANT or MAVEN; scripting languages such as Perl, UNIX shell. · Experience with SCM tools such as Subversion, Mercurial.
