Position : .NET Developer Location : BROOKLYN,NY Duration : 24 MONTHS *JOB DESCRIPTION: * We seek an experienced .Net Programmer/Analyst with a minimum of two (2) years of experience to work in a fast paced development environment. The Programmer/Analyst will be responsible for developing new applications as well as enhancing and maintaining existing applications. The tasks include analysis, design, development, integration, configuration, implementation, support and documentation of applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for full software lifecycle development including working with the users/business analysts to establish requirements for the project. The successful candidate will also be required to support applications written in ASP, FoxPro, Visual FoxPro, Visual Basic, and Access. This person should be capable of working both independently and in a team environment, excel at meeting deadlines, and have superior communication, organizational and problem solving skills. *Required Qualifications:* College graduate with a Masters Degree in Computer Science Two or more years of hands-on experience with .NET Frameworks (1.X, 2.0 and 3.5) using Visual Studio.NET (2005, 2008, and 2010), ASP.NET, VB.NET, and C#, SQL Server 2005/2008, SQL Reporting Services, and Crystal Reports. Two or more years of hands-on experience with Visual Basic 6 Macros and Reports using Microsoft Access (2003, 2007) and converting Microsoft Access applications to .Net. One or more years full software development life cycle experience in a large public sector organization. Practical experience modeling systems in UML using Microsoft Visio. Practical experience with developing SharePoint sites is essential. The applicant must also have experience in web development for large applications. The applications must be similar in size and scope to the types of web development designed by a large government entity such as the New York City Department of Education.
