We are looking for the *Oracle DBA with Financial background, Unix ,RAC and who can come for F2F interview at NJ or NC.*
Location: NJ and Charlotte, NC Long Term III. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Provide 24/7 support of production database services to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security and performance required by our business customers. • Design, development and administration of Oracle databases. • Design, development and administration of GoldenGate instances. • Performance monitoring, reporting, and tuning of Oracle databases. • Management and maintenance of back-ups & recovery procedures. • Installation and maintenance of database server, replication and associated documentation. • Reviewing and tuning SQL and PL/SQL code. • Set-up, configuration and tuning of Oracle RAC environments. • Security and access control. • Provision of support and assistance to development team in the design, development, testing, tuning and implementation of database applications • Writing ad-hoc queries based on schema knowledge for various reporting requirements. • This job requires excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Due to the dynamic nature of the business, self-motivation and the ability to learn quickly are essential. Salary will be based on experience. IV. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Essential skills: • In-depth knowledge of Oracle 11g with production support experience in a multi-project environment. • In-depth knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL including tuning. • Experience with Unix/Linux in a multi-domain environment including basic commands and shell scripting. • Oracle Recovery Manager, Import/Export and SQL*Loader • Oracle performance and tuning skills including server configuration and tracing facilities. • Oracle Enterprise Manager. • Good working knowledge of job scheduling and monitoring tools. • Experience of working with multiple projects/tasks and the ability to prioritise on the fly. • Experience of supporting multiple teams within a business. • Experienced and comfortable “taking ownership” of Oracle RAC environments. Analysis Skills: •Supports ongoing research and development activities to investigate new technologies and tools which might be used by company personnel to more effectively and efficiently perform their jobs. • Prepares time and cost estimates for assigned projects. • Assists in disaster recovery planning, testing and execution as needed. • Possesses strong understanding of the system deployment process and correlation with database administration responsibilities. • Coordinates and conducts database design reviews. • Possesses keen troubleshooting and creative problem solving skills. • Possesses the ability to translate user needs and projections into system hardware and/or software requirements.
