Position : Sr. Systems Event Engineer Location: Des Moines, IA Duration: 6 months plus Interview: phone/skype Requirement: Experience in a medium to large corporate IT environment (1500 nodes or higher) as a Network Systems Engineer. Experience with monitoring tools (e.g. System Center Operations Manager, Splunk, Orion). Experience in System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) and NetIQ AppManager or equivalent. Experience in Network operating system (e.g. Intel-based) integration in the current Windows operating system. Experience supporting a heterogeneous environment including the integration of Windows, mainframe, Intel, UNIX (Sun Solaris) and Linux systems. Strong technical understanding of Intel-based Windows LAN / WAN concepts, TCP/IP, IPX protocols, DNS, DHCP, WINS, routing, intrusion detection, host access, Microsoft Windows, remote access, Internet architecture, security administration, systems auditing procedures, backups, data recovery, and cross-platform integration practices. Strong understanding of application and network architectures, design, and implementation concepts, e.g. Microsoft Active Directory (AD), Netscape Light Weight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP), and other network protocol analysis tools and techniques. Knowledge of System Development Life Cycle processes, and the ability to work with development and integration teams to architect, design, implement, monitor and support Intel-based solutions deployed in a heterogeneous environment.
