Here's the Job Description *Oracle DBA - West lake OH* *6+ Months * *Required: * The ideal candidate would be able to assist the Oracle DBA team with performance tuning opportunities and recommend code efficiencies to developers and the overall operating platform . Our database versions are Oracle 10gR2 and 11gR1. Proficiency in the following key areas are desired: · Strong Oracle performance tuning skills · Strong PL/SQL skills to recommend efficiencies · Understand Oracle’s Optimizer and the affect from table and system statistics. · Understand histograms and child cursors. · Understanding of AWR, ASH and other reporting tools. · Understand how to monitor and understand data from Oracle Grid Control. · Strong documentation skills. · Strong communication skills to transfer knowledge to the DBA staff and non-DBA staff at various levels of skill. · Penske uses the following tools. Knowledge of these tools is preferred.
