Role: Software Development Engineer in Test(SDET)**** Location: OR, ****Beaverton******** Client : HCL/Mcfee**** Key Responsibilities:**** **** The engineering team at McAfee is seeking a self-motivated engineer who is passionate about quality and innovation in automation, white-box and exploratory testing. The role will require: **** - Working closely with local development/QA team(s) in a high bandwidth environment. **** - Working well with remote teams using your excellent written, verbal and organizational skills. **** - Planning, authoring, debugging, executing and reporting tests. **** - Prompt identification and escalation of defects; working with cross site and cross functional product teams to isolate problem; and tracking the issues to complete resolution. **** - Evaluation and selection of testing tools. **** - Test tool development as necessary. **** - Automation framework development or modification as necessary. **** Required Experience/Skills & Education: **** - Expertise in one of the following languages: C++, C#, VB, Java, Python, Perl. (Java/C++ preferred) **** - Strong understanding of Microsoft operating systems and applications. * *** - Strong root cause analysis experience. **** - Schedule estimation (of tasks), and on-time delivery against those schedules. **** - Strong understanding of QA processes and concepts including test case preparation, and testing methodologies. **** - Ability to quickly learn, and become proficient with complex applications, understanding their interactions with other installed products, and how they operate within an overall system. **** - Network configuration and management, including a strong knowledge of networking infrastructure and technologies. **** - Strong written and verbal communications skills. **** - Candidate must be self-motivated with a strong desire to continually grow technical expertise. **** - Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. **** Major pluses: **** - Experience in an agile engineering environment. **** - Experience coordinating with remote teams. **** - Demonstrated expertise in a commercial or custom automation framework (E.g.
