Incumbent will perform a wide variety of assessment, documentation, programming, and mentoring work centered on application services provided to customers by the G6 office. Primary task is to assess current / emerging web-service offerings, identify issues / opportunities for improvement, develop an action plan, and incorporate current programming staff into the solution. It is expected that all work / analysis of applications will be documented and changes to production applications will be coordinated through management to minimize customer impact. The Programmer is responsible for analysis, design, coding, component and assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application Team. Programmers typically are involved in maintenance (including production support), enhancement and development work. Programmers have a range of skills and knowledge of the technologies used and applications supported by the Application Team.
