*JOB TITLE*: LINUX DEVELOPER *LOCATION* : TX-Texas/Houston *DURATION* : 6 Months *M.O.I*: TELEPHONIC HIRE This position requires in-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems. This is a system developer position, NOT a system administration or support position. Only the “skilled” development people will be considered *Required Skills:* - 5+ years’ experience in systems support/administration in a large environment - Strong Linux OS experience (3+ years in depth real world experience) - Strong shell scripting experience. Experience of manipulating desired tasks and outcomes via custom (bash, csh, ksh, etc) scripts. - Proven track record of Linux server/desktop builds, support and deployment. - Creation of custom Linux builds. - RPM building, spec file creation - Knowledge of the Linux Boot/Build process (E.g. understanding of Anaconda) - Experience in developing automated kickstart/builds of Linux systems. - Experience in supporting, administering, and deploying Windows servers/desktops - MySQL database skills (usage and commands) - Experience in PHP, C++, Ruby, or other programming language development. - Source code management experience.
