*Skills Required and Job Description:*
Qualifications:
- Proven success as a BI architect (8+ years) in a large (preferably
multi-terabyte) DW environment delivering solutions with diverse
technologies and products
- In depth understanding of DW and BI concepts and product development
- Experience (8+ years) in data warehousing, data design and business
analytics development including the following:

- Specification and delivery of BI projects with commercial data
integration and BI/reporting tools (e.g., Cognos, SAS, Business Objects)
- Analysis of complex business processes preferably within the
healthcare domain
- Working with business stakeholders to understand current and future
requirements
- Leading data architecture/data modeling on multiple full life cycle
data warehouse/BI implementations
- Knowledge of SDLC methodologies
- Experience managing development resources
- Strong knowledge of relational database concepts, OLAP and one or more
RDBMS (preferably Oracle on Unix)
- Strong knowledge of data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical) and
techniques (ERD, normalization, dimensional)
- Strong performance tuning and troubleshooting skills with respect to
report design, SQL, and ETL processes
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex technical
issues to non-technical audience
- Adept using Microsoft Office, MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Access and Visio
- DataStage 8.x: At least four to six years experience in DataStage
version 8.x design and development
- Data model experience (i.e. conceptual, logical and physical model
design, experience with Operation Data Stores, Enterprise Data Warehouses
and Data Marts
- Knowledge of Oracle (release 10g/11g)
- Healthcare data experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, informatics, engineering or
equivalent combination of education and experience
